Devore Heights, also known as Devore, is a rural residential neighborhood in San Bernardino, California, located just north of the I-15 and I-215 junction, about 12 miles northwest of downtown San Bernardino. It lies near the Cajon Pass, the San Bernardino National Forest, and neighboring communities like Verdemont, University Hills, Rancho Cucamonga, Fontana, and Rialto. The Glen Helen Pavilion, the largest amphitheater in North America, is just south of Devore. The area falls entirely within the 92407 ZIP Code and the 909 and 840 area codes.
Historically, Devore was part of the Muscupiabe Rancho and has undergone several name changes, including El Cajon de Muscupiabe, Rancho Muscupiabe, The Martin District, The Guernsey Tract, The Glen Helen Tract, and Kenwood Heights, before becoming Devore around 1904. The region sits near multiple fault lines, including the San Andreas, Glen Helen, and San Jacinto Faults, making it prone to occasional earthquakes. Residents have long referred to Devore as “The Southern Portal of the Cajon Pass.”
