La Crescenta-Montrose is an unincorporated community in Los Angeles County, California, bordered by Glendale, La Canada Flintridge, and the Angeles National Forest. The area covers about 3.4 square miles and had a population of 19,997 as of the 2020 census, showing steady growth over the past two decades.
Geographically, it includes parts of the Crescenta Valley, northwestern San Rafael Hills, and northeastern Verdugo Mountains. It is surrounded by the San Gabriel Mountains and Angeles National Forest to the north, La Canada Flintridge to the east, the Verdugo Mountains and central Glendale to the south, and Sunland-Tujunga to the northwest. The Foothill Freeway (I-210) runs through its southern portion.
