Huntington Park is a city in South Central Los Angeles County, California, with a 2020 population of 54,883, predominantly Hispanic/Latino, and many residents born outside the U.S. The city includes the communities of Florence, Firestone Park, Graham, and Walnut Park, and is known as a working-class, mostly Hispanic area centered around Pacific Boulevard.
Named after industrialist Henry E. Huntington, the city was incorporated in 1906 as a streetcar suburb for workers in nearby industries. Historically a mostly white community, it experienced major demographic changes from the 1970s to the 1990s due to manufacturing decline and suburban growth, leading to an almost entirely Latino population today. Pacific Boulevard remains a thriving commercial hub serving the local working-class community, now primarily catering to Hispanic residents with many businesses using Spanish signage.
